Avoid touching or pressing the treated area for 24 hours

We recommend that you give the treated area time to heal before touching, rubbing, or massaging the skin.

As anti-wrinkle injections are usually administered to the face, try your best to keep your hands away. Bacteria from your hands can get into the injection site, potentially irritating the area.

Expect bruising & swelling, and avoid massaging the area

As with most injectable treatments, anti-wrinkle treatments come with a few common side effects.

Bruising and swelling is common, however often subsides within a few days. Patients must avoid any facial massages/face rollers etc for at least 10 to 14 days following your treatment.

Do not go to bed or lay down for the first 4 hours after treatment

Avoid irritating the face or risking applying pressure to the injection site for at least the first 4 hours.

It is unlikely that you will have your treatment late at night, so staying up for the 4 hours after treatment should be manageable. We recommend sitting down with a good TV show, and relax.

Don't drink alcohol before & after your treatment

As alcohol is a natural blood thinner, it is advised to avoid alcohol before and after your treatment.

Thinning the blood can prolong your recovery time. Prolonging recovery time will as a result, prolong viewing your final results.

Avoid prolonged sun exposure, saunas and tanning beds for 24hrs

We don’t recommend sitting out in the sun for long after getting your anti-wrinkle injections. This can lead to sunburn and increased blood pressure.

Stay out of the sun, saunas or any other high-heat situation for at least four hours after your procedure.

Avoid working out for 24 hours following treatment

It’s important to avoid strenuous workouts or exercise for the first 24 hours following treatment.

Exercising causes increased blood flow throughout your body. As a result, this may cause the injection solution to move from its injection site. Impacting your results greatly.

Be patient.
